Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides truly captures the adventure, humor, and excitement of the original movie. In this action packed installment of trust, betrayal, and demise, the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a female from his past (It's Penelope Cruz!) and he is not sure if it’s him being in love with her or if she is a heartless con-artist who is using him to locate the legendary Fountain of Youth.
When she forces him aboard the ship "Queen Anne’s Revenge" the ship of the infamous pirate Blackbeard (played by actor Ian McShane) Jack Sparrow finds himself on an unlikely adventure in which he does not know who to fear more, Blackbeard or the mysterious woman from his past.
Rush once again plays the vengeful Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally comes back as Sparrow’s longtime comrade Joshamee Gibbs. Claflin stars as a stalwart missionary and while Berges-Frisbey is mutated into a mermaid.
This movie promises to be the best one in the series. Will it be? Time will tell.
